Andrea Zanzotto was born in 1921 in Pieve di Soligo where he lives. Considered the greatest living Italian poet, his works include Dietro il paesaggio (1951), La Beltà (1968), Pasque (1973), Il galateo in bosco (1978) and Fosfeni (1983), published by Mondadori. The collection Poesie, edited by Stefano Agosti, was published in 1993 and Poesie e prose scelte, in 2000. With nottetempo he published Eterna riabilitazione da un trauma di cui s’ignora la natura (2007).
