Desert demons (I demoni del deserto)

Agha Soltani, a retired primary school teacher and Atefé, his strange, beautiful and stubbornly silent little granddaughter, are in flight from a devastating earthquake that destroyed the city of Bam and all their family. Here begins their adventurous wanderings through the fascinating landscapes of Iran, where child-brides merchants, corrupt Pasdaran and bands of illegal traffickers make for a breathtaking plot.
